Ripple Expands Cross-Border Payments Across Africa, Gulf States, UK, and Australia

Ripple Announces Three New Blockchain-Based Payments Corridors

During Ripple’s annual conference, Swell, in Dubai, the company announced the opening of three new blockchain-based payments corridors. These corridors will connect Onafriq users in Africa with customers of PayAngel in the U.K., Pyypl in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and Zazi Transfer in Australia.

Expanding Financial Inclusion

Ripple’s initiative aims to expand financial inclusion by providing easier and more efficient cross-border payment solutions for users in Africa. This move is expected to have a significant impact on the remittance market and improve access to financial services for individuals in the region.

According to Ripple’s CEO, Brad Garlinghouse, “These new corridors will enable faster, more affordable, and more reliable cross-border payments for users in Africa, ultimately driving greater financial inclusion.”

With the introduction of these new payment corridors, users in Africa will have access to seamless and secure cross-border transactions, bridging the gap between traditional financial systems and the emerging blockchain technology.
