Sorare has announced a new partnership with the French Football Federation (FFF), which will allow the blockchain-based fantasy soccer game to distribute more cards featuring the FFF’s players. This collaboration will provide Sorare with access to the federation’s 14,000 licensed players, which will enable the platform to develop and expand its offerings and bring in more customers.
“This development is part of Sorare’s roadmap to build an inclusive ecosystem uniting tens of millions of sports fans, and support its mission to bring these fans closer to the players, teams and leagues they love,” a Sorare spokesperson told CoinDesk. “It does not impact the structure of Sorare’s core game or competition, or its cards.”
Sorare, which allows users to trade digital cards of soccer players, has already expanded its reach to over 130 countries worldwide. The blockchain-based platform has captured the imagination of not only soccer fans, but also collectors who are interested in owning unique digital assets tied to their favorite players. Sorare’s partnership with the FFF is in line with its goal to continue to innovate and expand the industry.
